Halotherapy

The Story

How It Works

Benefits

Halotherapy, also known as dry salt therapy or salt chambers, was first discovered and implemented when researchers noted that salt mine workers rarely ever got sick and even seemed immune to various plagues and outbreaks. Before researchers understood halotherapy, early methods included long visits to natural salt caves, or recreating man-made salt chambers. Modern scientific research has been able to identify the source of benefits associated with halotherapy and recreate those effects in controlled environments.

Although the salt bricks, backlighting, and salt covered floors add to the ambiance of each halotherapy session in the salt chamber, research has shown that it is microparticulates of pure sodium chloride, dispersed into the air by a medical grade halogenerator, that enable you to fight infection, detoxify allergens and pollutants, and increase oxygen intake.

Halotherapy has been shown to decrease inflammation (both in the respiratory system as well as in the skin and other areas of the body), to kill pathogens in the nasal cavities, throat, and lungs, and to absorb excess moisture leading to more efficient mucous processing and removal. Mucokinetic and absorptive effects of the sodium chloride increase lung capacity and oxygen intake, leading to not only respiratory benefits, but overall wellness.

This well-studied therapy is non-invasive and has little to no side-effects. Because of its therapeutic benefits on key characteristics of the respiratory, immune, and integumentary systems, halotherapy is a safe and effective therapy for a wide range of health issues.

Salt chamber halotherapy is beneficial for all ages and genders and its multi-faceted effects make it extremely efficient at aiding the body fully recover from nearly every type of respiratory issue.
